We keep all of your customer details private and will never make your details available to any third party company for marketing purposes without your written consent. 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RETURNS, REPLACEMENTS AND EXCHANGES - If you buy on a multi-buy promotion, individual items cannot be returned for refund, you will need to send back all of the qualifying items. By law, consumers in the European Union have the right to cancel a contract for the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day of receipt of the order. If you wish to cancel your order under the Distance Selling Regulations we ask you to please notify our Customer Service team quoting your name, order number and details of the product(s) by email or by post to our Customer Service address. If purchased from our website goods must be returned within 28 days, using the address above while items bought at our retail shop must be returned within 5 days.

The cost of returning the cancelled order will be the responsibility of the customer. Where you are cancelling your order within this cooling-off period (seven working days) we will refund the full cost of the item. We will only refund the delivery charges if you are cancelling the whole order, so please mention this when cancelling your order. Delivery charges are non-refundable if you are returning part of an order. If you notify us of your cancellation after the 7-day statutory cooling-off period, goods returned to us can only be exchanged for replacement goods or gift vouchers. Goods returned for exchange or gift vouchers must in all respects be in the condition you received them. This offer applies for three months from the date of purchase and is in addition to your statutory rights. If you return goods, please always retain proof of posting for your records. This can be obtained from your Post Office and is free. You will be responsible for the returned products until they reach us. Replacement items can only be dispatched once we have received your returned order. If a discount was applied to your original order, and the refund of a returned item means that the original discount would no longer apply, the amount refunded will be adjusted to reflect this. Please note: Videos, DVDs, Books, Magazines and clearance sale items cannot be returned unless they are faulty, so please be sure of your selection before ordering. This does not affect your statutory rights. 

REFUNDS - We will not give refunds/exchanges for products such as hosiery, gloves, socks, wigs & hair pieces, ear pieces, masks, contact lenses, confectionery & cosmetic products, unless faulty. Before contacting us, please take note of the timescales required to process a refund: We require 5 working days from receipt of a return for us to process a refund. Please allow a further 5-10 working days for the refund to be credited to your account. This time frame is dictated by your bank or card issuer and is outside our control. Your refund will be credited to the same card with which you made your original purchase. 

MISSING ITEMS - If you have received your order and an item is missing, please contact Customer Services (within 24 hours of receiving your order) with your order number and the missing item. We will investigate and resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

FAULTY ITEMS - In the rare event you have a faulty item, please return to us at our Customer Services address for an exchange or refund. Goods returned for exchange or gift vouchers must in all respects be in the condition you received them. If posting goods, please keep proof of posting. 

PRODUCT APPEARANCE - Certain fabrics reflect light differently depending on lighting conditions, resulting in apparent colour variations shown on the web site. Therefore, colours depicted should only be used as a guide. In order to adapt to customer feedback we reserve the right to amend and improve product specifications and  fabrics and trims. 

INTERNATIONAL TERMS - Please read our terms and conditions carefully, as making a purchase is acceptance of these terms. All customers must be 18 years or older. Purchasing from us is acceptance of these terms and confirmation that you are over 18 years old. The customer is responsible for the importation of products into their country and must obey the regulations concerning the customs requirements. All cheques or postal orders should be made payable to UKCostumesU.com in UK Pounds Sterling (GBP). We accept all major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, and Solo). 

PAYMENT INFO 

PAYMENT CURRENCY - We only accept payments in UK Pounds Sterling (GBP). Customers outside the UK will be billed in UK Pounds Sterling (GBP). 

PAYMENT CARDS ACCEPTED - We accept the following cards: Maestro, Solo, Visa Debit / Delta, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Visa.

OTHER PAYMENT METHODS - Whilst other electronic payment methods are not currently accepted, we are happy to accept orders via post. Please send your order with a cheque or postal order to us. Please ensure all crossed cheques and postal orders are made payable to Fancy Dress Mad. Payments by cheque require an additional 7 working days for payment clearance before dispatch.

Next day delivery (available in the UK only if ordered before 3pm) - £7.99,

If paying by cheque, please allow an additional 7 working days for payment clearance before dispatch (e.g. 10-12 working days).

Please note: Someone will need to sign for your delivery.

Europe and Worldwide delivery £14.99,

  • European Union: 5-7 working days.
  • Rest of World: 9-11 working days.

If you have allowed for the delivery time-scales above and have still not received your order, please contact Customer Services with your order number and query. Order time-scales are subject to stock availability and card payment security checks.

Payments by cheque require an additional 7 working days for payment clearance before dispatch.

All time-scales exclude weekends and UK (England) Bank Holidays.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY (Deliveries to countries outside the UK) 

IMPORT CHARGES - Any customs or import duties are levied once the package reaches its destination country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you may want to contact your local customs office or you can obtain further information from your local post office. 

DELIVERY TO BFPO ADDRESSES - Most orders can be delivered to BFPO addresses, with Standard UK Delivery charge applicable. During registration you must enter your BFPO address as UK, rather than the country where you are posted. When we ship to BFPO addresses, it is the responsibility of the British Forces to ensure that the parcel is delivered to the correct location. For more information please see the BFPO website.
